Selfie mania has been in trend for
quite few years now, and the concept has been on a continuous rise. However,
this craze has been fatal for many over last few months. On Sunday a middle aged man drowned at a
waterfall in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh.
As reported, the man along with his
another friend was trying to take a selfie near the Tanda waterfall. While
trying to click their own pictures, the duo crossed the warning mark and
accidently fell into the waterfall, as it was raining and the edges were
slippery.
Other people present nearby, tried to
warn them, but to no use. After the accident took place, they rushed to local
authorities and alarmed the police regarding the mishap.
Police authorities reported to online survey poll app,
that by the time both the victims were rescued from water, and rushed to the
nearest hospital one of the victims was already reported dead. While the other
victim still lives, his condition is also being deemed critical by the doctors.
The rescue operation that was
completed in six hours, is the third selfie incident in Mirzapur in less than 2
months.
Do you think local
authorities should make arrangements to aware and warn locals to avoid these
incidents, or is it peoples self-responsibility to take precautions against
this kind of ignorance that can jeopardise their safety? Review the opinions of people around you and
